We are a Southern Baptist congregation located in Sampson County. Baptist Chapel offers a wide range of ministries and activities for all ages, including Sunday School, Worship, Kids and Youth, Music, WMU and Brotherhood. We cooperate and engage in mission through the New South River Baptist Association, Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). We are also one of the ten local churches which sponsor the Mingo Baptist Spanish Mission here in Sampson County.

Jesus Christ is at the very heart of who we are as a church. It is His love that compels us to share the gospel message personally with our friends and community. Through the ministries of the Cooperative Program of the SBC, we join with other churches in supporting church planters through the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board. It is Jesus' love that motivates the loving and caring relationships that characterize our worship, fellowship, and service to Christ. "We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19).

We are also strongly committed to the Word of God. Serving as our guide to faith and practice, the Bible is the authority and direction for everything Baptist Chapel does. In worship, Sunday School, and in our Sunday night Bible Study, we focus upon God's Word and His message for our lives individually and corporately. "All Scripture is breated out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).

If you are seeking a church home in this community, we invite you to consider becoming a part of the ministry and fellowship of Baptist Chapel. We would welcome an opportunity to share with you about becoming actively involved in serving our Lord in and through Baptist Chapel. "I was gald when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord!'" (Psalm 122:1).
